Le Pére Bis

July 30, 2017 by Jacques Krzepkowski in 16 - Scotch, 10 - Elderflower

Scotch is often used as the base of a hot toddy, a warm drink that features whisky, along with herbs, spices and honey. The Le Pére Bis is a variation of a hot toddy from Please Don’t Tell in New York. It gets its sweetness from a mix of St-Germain and honey syrup and its complexity from a peaty Scotch.

What you need

  • 4 oz. freshly-brewed chamomile tea
  • 1.5 oz. Laphroaig Scotch whisky
  • 0.5 oz. St-Germain
  • 0.5 oz. honey syrup

How it’s made
Add everything to a pre-heated heatproof mug and stir. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
