The Bronx

June 30, 2016 by Paul Baker in 02 - Gin, 04 - Vermouth

The Bronx is a classic martini variation that brings depth and sweetness to a traditionally dry and boring drink. Martinis are notoriously dry and abusively spirit-forward, but the Bronx is complex and balanced. Made using gin, red and white vermouth and a splash of orange juice, the Bronx is the martini you should be making.

What you need

  • 2 oz. gin
  • 0.5 oz. white vermouth
  • 0.5 oz. red vermouth
  • 1 oz. orange juice
  • orange twist for garnish

How it's made

Add the gin, vermouth and orange juice to a cocktail shaker filled with ice. Shake to combine and double-strain into a coupe. Garnish with an orange twist. Never drink a martini again.
