Created in 2007, St-Germain was the first elderflower liqueur. It became an instant classic, winning numerous awards and becoming a modern bartending staple. St-Germain is made from hand-picked elderflower petals, which are added to a neutral grape spirit and sweetened. The resulting liqueur is syrupy and sweet, with floral and citrus notes.
As St-Germain is such a new liqueur, it doesn’t appear in any classic cocktails. Instead, over the next few weeks we’ll be sharing a few classic variations that use St-Germain, as well as some of our favourite contemporary cocktails that feature the liqueur.
