St-Germain is a naturally sweet liqueur, and it can easily replace sweeteners like simple syrup in the right cocktail. Used in place of sugar in an Old Fashioned, St-Germain enhances the cocktail with some floral notes. We add Angostura bitters and cherry bitters to compliment the St-Germain and to add some complexity to the cocktail.
What you need
- 2 oz. bourbon
- 0.5 oz. St-Germain
- 2 dashes Angostura bitters
- 3 dashes Bittermens Cherry Bark Vanilla bitters
- orange twist for garnish
How it's made
Add all ingredients except the orange twist to a mixing glass with ice. Stir enough to release some water into the drink, then stain into a tumbler with a large ice cube. Garnish with the orange twist.
